The National Press Club Malaysia’s In-House pool competition was held last night, delivering an evening of thrilling matches, spirited competition, and memorable camaraderie.

Despite a handful of last-minute withdrawals due to unforeseen circumstances, the tournament lost none of its intensity, with games fiercely contested right down to the final cue ball.

The champion of the night was John Chen, who showcased remarkable consistency and composure throughout the competition. His victory earned him the coveted NPC title, and a cash prize of RM300.

Stealing the spotlight as the surprise contender was long-time NPC member Dino Herrera, whose impressive run through the bracket secured him the runner-up position and a well-deserved RM200 prize. The club’s treasurer Sharanjit Singh demonstrated excellent skills and remained calm under pressure, as he came in third. He pocketed RM100 for his efforts.

NPC vice president Farrah Naz Karim gave out the prizes to the winners.

Beyond the results, the evening was defined by friendly rivalry, shared laughter, and genuine sportsmanship. Every match reflected the grit and determination of the participants, making the competition as enjoyable to watch as it was to play.

A special word of thanks goes out to all members and guests who turned up to support the event.
