The National Press Club Malaysia hosted a vibrant Deepavali celebration at its clubhouse last night, bringing together members and the wider media community.
The event was organised by club manager Tony Gayanato and NPC member Tony Mariadass. Guests were entertained by singers Manivannan, Vasanthi and SS. Kanesan. Guest singer M. Pavalamani also joined in the fun.
Several members came dressed in their Deepavali best and were rewarded. NPC president Datuk Ahirudin Attan, looking sharp in his cream kurta, was named the best dressed (male) for the night. Vasanthi – in her stunning saree – bagged the best dressed (female) title.
NPC deputy president, Haresh Deol presented hampers to the winning duo.

Beyond the celebrations, the event served as a platform to share the significance of Deepavali — the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil — fostering deeper understanding among Malaysia’s diverse communities.

Happy Deepavali!
