
The Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) was honoured with the Best Media (Agency) Award at the National Labour Day 2025 celebration held at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil, today.
The award was presented by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to Bernama chief executive officer, Datin Paduka Nur-ul Afida Kamaludin.
Nur-ul Afida described the award as a great morale booster for all Bernama staff to continue striving with dedication, in line with the agency’s long-standing motto – ‘Trusted Source of News’.
Meanwhile, TV3 journalist Mas Zharif Aziz Desa, 32, was handed the Best Media (Individual) Award at the same event. Mas Zharif received the accolade for his exclusive report titled “Majikan dan Pekerja Perlu Seiring Elak Suasana Toksik di Pejabat“. He took home RM10,000 in cash.
Other awards included the National Worker Figure Award for the Public Service (Top Management Group) 2025, which was handed to the Education Ministry’s deputy director-general of education (school operations sector), Zainal Abas.
