OVER the past 24 hours, 168 Covid-19 patients were discharged and allowed to return home.

And with 134 new cases reported, this brings to 4,817, the number of cases reported in Malaysia.

Another death reported brings to 77, the number who succumbed to the virus.

Ministry of Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said with the number released, the total number of patients recovered to be 2,276 while 2,464 patients remain undergoing treatment.

“Today, once again, the number of those discharged is higher than the number of new cases reported,” he said.

The Health Ministry has also identified sub-clusters of infections interconnected in Kuantan.

The interconnected subclusters named The Bali Person Under Investigation (PUI) cluster, involves a group of 20 people, comprising of patients and several medical staff of a medical centre.
